The road to Fairview....
Route 218

passes interesting buildings...
The middle school--how cool is that! going to school in a castle.
and cool old trucks...

and takes me to a place where the people love stories (especially ghost stories)...
Inside the city hall building with the elementary school students

and where I love the people. Wide smiles, hugs, homecooked lunch, good coffee, flying conversations...what's not to like?

Fairview Library children's librarians Jo and Julie--dynamite librarians who know what it takes to meet the needs of their community.

Thanks for having me to tell stories again!

Great drive. I might have liked middle school more if I'd gone there! LOL

I would imagine the school is a bear to maintain, but it looks to be in very good condition overall. I told stories in the city hall's upper floor since the library does not have space enough for the whole elementary school to visit. The library is new--the former one was housed in an old storefront and burned down when the restaurant next door burned. In such a small town the community support was so great that they were able to raise the funds to build a new library. That's a library doing it's job and appreciated by the community.

I don't think anyone enjoys storytelling as much as elementary children. Their concentration for the story can go on forever if you have their attention which is not hard to get at their age. Wish I could be there to hear some of your stories and then I would not have to read so much. Seems like we missed a lot when we were younger. Some one once told me the retirement years were the Golden Age but they neglected to tell me they sometimes become tarnished. Bless you many times you make it all worth while. lilly
