Microfiction Monday: The Witch and the Fairy

One wanted the bus to come.

One wanted to sit forever in the sun.

They sat, spinning spells on the warm bench.

The bus never came; the sun set.

Want to try writing microfiction? Visit Susan's blog at http://www.stonyriver.ie/ for details.

Basic rule: tell a story in 140 characters. Not words--characters. That includes spaces and punctuation.

Does it sound easy? Once you try, I think you'll find it more challenging than it seems!

And OOPS! I missed the rule that you have to use the photo she provided. So my first attempt isn't entirely correct, but I'll do better next time.

  1. I thought we were supposed to write based on the picture Susan picked out for the day.

Nevertheless both the picture and the story and nice!

And it IS more challenging that one would think at first!

    Nice to "meet" you.

  3. Wonderful story! Just like the best fairy tales, a good story with plenty of food for thought.

It *does* go with the picture this week, which is magical beings after sunset---but I looove your photo and the story's such a good explanation of it!

    No lawnmower though.
    ROFL!!
