200,000

Quietly, right around New Year's Day, this blog passed the 200,000 visitors mark. Since it began on January 7, 2007, that mile marker is also pretty close to the blog's 4th birthday. Who knew I would keep at it so long, or meet so many good friends along the way?

Thank you to all who have followed along with my daily small adventures, joys, sorrows and musings. I value each and every one of you.

To mark the anniversary, I will send a copy of my poetry chapbook, Lives Unheralded, to five people who respond to this post. Your names will be picked using the random number generator, to keep it fair and square.

Thank you again. And I hope you will continue to visit, read and comment.

This is my River of Stones post for today--a small thing suddenly noticed in my busy day--a tiny number at the bottom of the blog populated by people from all walks of life.

  20. I get to read your blog on a more regular basis since I'm in charge of the computers during free time at the Club. I look forward to finish logging everyone in and sitting down, opening your blog and getting a chance to read it. Sometimes competing at home for the computer with 3 other people is hard.

In any case, I thought I said Congrats! at the Club on your 200,000 but I guess I didn't. I'm supposing someone needed help. Congrats on the 200,000 we are very proud of your accomplishment. This will also be a very neat journal for future generations in the family. They will be able to read what their great granny or great great granny, etc... was thinking, what she cooked, how she lived. In the meantime it continues to be a valuable journal for me. I'm constantly using it to find a recipe or a story I can't quite remember right. Congrats Susie!
