At Lost River State Park

...there is a little stream...

that invites you to sit quietly on its bank and read...

...or look for treasures along its trails...

...or just jump in...

and get in a little trouble with Nana...

...or explore the hidden places...

...and after everyone has left...

...the stream runs on, waiting for the next visitors.

  1. Dear Granny Sue,

I LOVE that first photo with the light through the leaves and on the water and rocks -- another keeper for your photo book on WV :-)

    Hugs,
    Kate

  2. It is such a beautiful park, Kate. It would be an awesome site for a storytellers retreat. Rustic or modern cabins, areas to meet, shelters, trails and beauty all around. The Virginia storytellers should consider it, really, because it borders the state line so it's not far from DC, Richmond, etc.

  3. That looks such a lovely, tranquil place.
