Vintage Thursday: Family Memories

A love remembered: Mom and Dad on their honeymoon on Skyline Drive, 1946.

And about 8 years and 6 children later:

About 4 years later and a few babies later... (not all of us were in this photo--I think Bill, Tom, and Theresa were missing, and that is probably Maggie on Mom's lap--just guessing).

1959 and nine of us all lined up. Four more were to come in the next 5 years. I'm the one with the goofy face and crooked bangs, Judy is holding Stephen, Joe, Tom and Bill are lined up behind me; Theresa, Maggie and Mary are in the front row.

Dad and the guys,

and all of the girls around 2000, I think?

And all of us in one spot (what a miracle!):

Nearing the end of their 61-year love affair, my parents at Dad's birthday party in 2002, when he turned 80 years old.

Happy Valentine's Day, Mom and Dad, from all of your 13 children you raised so well.

  1. Lovely family photos, I can't imagine having 13 children - your Mom must have been a very busy lady!

  3. Such an amazing family - it must have been wonderful to be part of such a large group. I love all the photos. And admire your mom - raising a big houseful of wonderful kids.
