Booth Update: The Ravenswood Riverbend Booth

Here's what's been happening at my Ravenswood booth. Lots of sales, for one thing, which makes me happy and also means I've been bringing in a lot of new things, like this little red porcelain top kitchen cabinet,

and cutter quilts, put on display on the coolest folding rack I've ever seen,

and a cherubs, amber glass and marble centerpiece probably made by Anchor Hocking in the 60's,

and a few John Deere pictures for the farmer who needs something for his barn walls,

and a new shelf for the corner where the treadle table was, and then where the round green table was for a few days before it was bought too (and the space was left when a brown Marcrest pitcher was bought just before I took the photo).

Some things are still there, of course, like this beautiful china cabinet. It surprises me, really, that it has not yet sold--same for the two tall crystal decanter on top.

Red glass on a green shelf, marigold carnival sprakling up the inside shelf along with some iridescent snack sets that would make a pretty, pretty holiday table setting,

a few primitive items for the more rustic decor,

and lots of lots of other things that make it fun to work in this booth, just arranging and re-arranging.

This cabinet is a new addition--we moved it in at the beginning of November. Wish I had room for it at home.
I brought in serving pieces--cake plates, pedestal compotes, etc, for those looking for party pieces.
And a WVU bear just because, along with a primitive white spool-legged table and a rustic cup rack.

This buffet and an oak dresser are currently on layway--woohoo!

My little tree has ornaments and kitchen gadgets as decoration.

That's a quick tour of this booth. I'll add more photos tomorrow as there is more to see.

  1. You have a booth filled to the brim. Visiting local booths is enjoyable for me. The oak dresser caught my eye. I like oak. Amber colored glass is hard to find in my parts. I Once had booths at three business. I did enjoy filling them and arranging them. I found rearranging often seemed to increase sales. I know I can wonder through and go back and notice something not seen the first passing. Wishing you lots of sales.

  2. Is Marcrest selling for you? I have a couple of dozen pieces but there just doesn't seem to be any interest in the Midwest for this dinnerware.

  3. Love checking out your booths and seeing what is selling, what is not and what I really, really would like to have if my house was not full to the brim. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Thank you, Lara--re-arranging does seem to draw new interest. In a location with many repeat visitors, it's vital to keep it fresh.

  5. Nance, Marcrest is so-so. I've sold a little on eBay but the two pieces this lady bought have been in my booth for months. I like its sturdy pottery and warm brown glaze myself, and have a coffee cup that I use almost daily, but like amber and green glassware, it's not popular. Maybe their turn is coming.
