Those cabinets can be lovely, though!
Good job on your shopping/storygathering expedition :)Quinnhttp://comptonia.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-27780587215869650962013-02-10T18:54:28.579-05:002013-02-10T18:54:28.579-05:00Your trip sounds like fun. It had a flour sifter and a window in the 'box' above to let you see how much flour was left. The bread drawer had a sliding lid; there was a spice rack hanging inside the tambor. Seem to recall something specifically designed to store sugar.

A neighbor had been a ship's carpenter on on of the last wooden sailing ships. He did built-in work of similar functionality - never saw anyone get more use out of less space.
steeleweedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02077739629921574784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-84612837800670517172013-02-10T16:22:56.684-05:002013-02-10T16:22:56.684-05:00Wow - that was a great road trip.
