This one used to lead to the small community of Buckeye which no longer exists in the same location--it kind of moved across to the highway. So the bridge goes, really, nowhere. It makes an access point to one part of the Greenbrier River Trail, and there are 3 or 4 houses on that side of the river but other than that, nothing. So why millions spent on a bridge that only a few will use? Makes no sense. And why not leave the old one for a walking bridge? I suppose it's the liability issue again. Sad.<br />Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-91714271279153320072015-07-03T16:01:55.369-04:002015-07-03T16:01:55.369-04:00It's hard to see old familiar friends disappea...It's hard to see old familiar friends disappear - a pity the old steel bridge couldn't be repaired instead of being replaced.Rowanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13679130612798888266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-53925115065041426212015-07-03T00:12:34.053-04:002015-07-03T00:12:34.053-04:00I used to drive down to one I loved, it went by wa...I used to drive down to one I loved, it went by way of the concrete several years past.
