I've sure missed it this year. The poetry reading on Saturday night was fun too. I don't often have the opportunity to share my poetry with an audience.Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-8314767206312226072012-02-13T08:43:02.287-05:002012-02-13T08:43:02.287-05:00I didn't know that, John. I remember once she wrote me a letter about growing up on a farm, keeping goats, etc. I dearly wish I still had that letter but I was young then and didn't realize what a treasure it was. My memories of her are all good ones--her visits to see us were huge highlights of my childhood.Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-76861320504903191962012-02-13T03:07:52.754-05:002012-02-13T03:07:52.754-05:00It never does any harm to sit back and do nothing ...It never does any harm to sit back and do nothing occasionally. The soup sounds good and it's always nice to feel that you've made headway with sorting out paperwork. You've got the house tidy too so not a bad weekend really:)Rowanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13679130612798888266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-32997722155864954392012-02-13T02:07:26.295-05:002012-02-13T02:07:26.295-05:00Me too. Hers was what you might call "main course soup", so thick and filling that you didn't want anything else afterwards, except a sleep! She used to sometimes make it for your Uncle Ted and I when we worked on the farm and visited her during our lunchtimes. Have a good week.John "By Stargoose And Hanglands"https://www.blogger.com/profile/00832873074550725579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-41078796374653308382012-02-12T22:54:32.962-05:002012-02-12T22:54:32.962-05:00Sometimes we just need to let ourselves slow down,...Sometimes we just need to let ourselves slow down, you know? I admit, though, whenever I follow that urge, I feel lazy! Today was a very good day and we made up for yesterday's dragging feet.Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-47822741192691796202012-02-12T21:10:11.327-05:002012-02-12T21:10:11.327-05:00I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one exp...I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one experiencing a low energy tide -- glad you pulled out of it.
