Mostly Wordless Wednesday: Randoms

58°f/14.4°C, partly cloudy.  No rain in sight for another week. How sad is that.

On the road to Columbus today to pick up Sarah at the airport. She's here for a few days, to attend Haley's wedding.  So a few random shots I haven't posted before.

First, Miranda in the window got a red wig! Can you see it?

Second, these glasses I posted before---they are headed to a museum! That makes me happy. I am refunding them the purchase price.

A recent find: a Nemadji vase from the 80s. Not really valuable, but it will be a nice profit. These were made by Native Americans for the
tourist trade.

At the VA, a Stryker van! This is the brand of my new knee. I guess they were delivering parts. I have a card in my wallet to show if I have to go through a metal detector. So weird.

Fall decor showing up our porch.

I can't remember if I posted this mural in Ravenswood before. George Washington owned land along this part of the Ohio Valley.

Indian mound right in the middle of South Charleston,  WV.

  3. I’ve heard about those mounds, but I don’t think they exist up here.

  5. My DH has had both knees replaced and he sets off the alarms walking into any store that has a detector.
After an extremely dry summer rain is finally in the forecast ( for the weekend).

  7. How neat to have an Indian Mound in the midst of town. I dare say there have been archaeological digs already. Glad it's being preserved!

What museum are your glasses going to? That is very neat, and I like that you refunded their money!

LOL, Ingo has a detector for finding metal, it makes noise when he goes over my arm...
