We'll see, though.Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-34826656898326965582011-06-25T22:50:10.211-04:002011-06-25T22:50:10.211-04:00Joy, that's quite a story! I never thought about wintergreen as a deterrent though. That's worth a try. Thanks for telling me!Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-86717606192684208782011-06-24T22:56:45.384-04:002011-06-24T22:56:45.384-04:00A busy day for you both. A lot of extra work.

We routed the racoon family from our/their shed roof-space home - stressful. Turned on the leaf blower (huge nose) off an on, repeat and etc, pounded the ceiling (golf club) off an on, repeat for several days. Put 1/2" wire mesh where we should have when we first built (the overhang/eves area - 12 feet) and left an opening that could be pushed out. Lots of hissing and growling while the wire mesh was installed (hard hat/safety glasses, leather work gloves). Wire secition was pushed out.

Next day - silence. Bought wintergreen essence drops and odor remover. Pulled out the soiled insulation batts (a messy job through a very small space) and, as no sign of wild life during all this work occurred, pushed in wintergreen drops on top/odor remover on bottom of fresh insulation bats. Sealed the hole with double wire. Watched, waited. Next morning - nothing, no bent wire, no sound. Nothing the next day. Gone.
- JoyJoy@aVintageGreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16788328980114729976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-63350311351018337232011-06-24T21:28:01.226-04:002011-06-24T21:28:01.226-04:00I can't believe you have finally got a TV. We did spray them, though. You almost have to to keep them under control - that and going through and squishing them and killing the eggs. We have had squash, lettuce and onions thus far. Our tomatoes are getting really big and I hope to dig a few potatoes soon.Janet,https://www.blogger.com/profile/17796999156668844943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-48952437397677379482011-06-24T06:37:30.055-04:002011-06-24T06:37:30.055-04:00:):)Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-78785192853486488402011-06-23T23:41:37.589-04:002011-06-23T23:41:37.589-04:00"like""like"Nancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11526258792227541799noreply@blogger.com
