I was SO busy!!!
Well, also thanks to Ingo´s help - and bloggy friends.
Started sketching. Saw some sew in their sketches, mentioned and 30 minutes later: "which color red or turquoise?" - 3 days later a beginner´s Singer sewing machine in my fav color was there.
Colored pencils, water color etc, etc followed. Cooking started... I was SO busy!!
Busier than when I was working, it seemed. A time out I maybe needed after helping both parents on their last weeks (cancer), Bro with depression, clearing parent´s house, Ingo with nearly dying, working full time...
I LOVE my work, but I am not afraid to retire (a bit of Ingo doing so, though! ;-)...)Iris Flaviahttp://irisflavia.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-23230225176163633572011-08-31T21:40:49.631-04:002011-08-31T21:40:49.631-04:00Sounds like retirement is just what you needed. The canning is a necessity and way of life for some of us, a way to feel a sense of peace and accomplishment for me. There's nothing like sitting back and looking at a full shelf of canned goods by your own hands. You have your fingers in so many pots, you really don't have time to long for a full-time job, your life alone is it! The sense of contentment is loud in all of your writings!! You've been able to cross things off your to-do list, only to add more things "to-do". Retirement for you...is the envy for others! Enjoy!!!momalizziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08018644836212063334noreply@blogger.com
