I don't know where this idea came from but it could be glass bottles break and long ago if you had a drink out of a bottle just stick the bottle on a limb. Or could be a good place to keep collectibles. I'm going to try & find out!
Truly,
Carol RosenbalmAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-18071036826742347302008-03-03T09:10:00.000-05:002008-03-03T09:10:00.000-05:00Isn't there some lore about putting out a blue bot...Isn't there some lore about putting out a blue bottle full of water during a full moon as a woman's ritual? I don't remember what this is supposed to accomplish, but I recall wishing I had a blue bottle once--long ago--so I could do this. I never found the blue bottle and forgot about it until I read you post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-91758993456646770462008-03-02T19:09:00.000-05:002008-03-02T19:09:00.000-05:00Hi Terry!Loved your blog--I'll have to add it to m...Hi Terry!

Loved your blog--I'll have to add it to my feeds. I'll definitely add a photo when the bush is done. I'm debating whether to use a live bush, or to cut a small tree and "plant" it, or to use the copper tubing idea I saw online. All three have good points. I think the copper would look stunning, more like an artpiece, but the bush would be more authentic. We'll see. First I want to gather at least six bottles to start. I, too, am collecting bottles for a bottle tree --- green and clear and brown are easy to find; blue is, as I'm sure you are finding, more difficult to obtain. I found a bright fuchsia colored bottle at the thrift store the other day to serve as the topper.

Thanks for the mention/link. Good luck on building a blue bottle bush. Hope you will share photos of it when complete.

Regards,
Terry Thornton
HILL COUNTRY OF MONROE COUNTY MS (blog)Terry Thorntonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01251750196282728118noreply@blogger.com
