We will do that once all the debris is removed in front of it so we can back Tims' truck in there. That will be quite a job, with the biggest trick being how to get them without breaking them. Sandstone is easily broken and this is old and has been exposed to many many fires.Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-71538079211653648042010-09-20T10:45:20.769-04:002010-09-20T10:45:20.769-04:00Thank you, Cheryl. You'd think we had a plan in advance; we sort of had a plan but a lot of it was figurin' as we went.Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-35759914298768650512010-09-20T09:08:53.416-04:002010-09-20T09:08:53.416-04:00Are you going to take the chimney as well? Are there any old foundation stones around the cabin?Mountainwordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11011071025161667391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-84204927887477965052010-09-20T08:35:11.316-04:002010-09-20T08:35:11.316-04:00I feel as though we , the readers , have been work...I feel as though we , the readers , have been working side by side with you in this process . The cabin originally was set up on stone, with three big logs as the joists. Those, of course, are rotted away, and that allowed the cabin to sink down to where the logs were on the ground, ruining the bottom course.Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-57627615548204015202010-09-20T08:15:24.173-04:002010-09-20T08:15:24.173-04:00imagocorvi, we did not live in the cabin. The owner gave it to us with the stipulation that we clean up all debris. That's been the biggest part of the job so far.Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-45405754779150950682010-09-20T07:34:36.867-04:002010-09-20T07:34:36.867-04:00Sue, what are you going to use for the foundation?...Sue, what are you going to use for the foundation?
