I remember one always being on our porch. How else can you watch the neighbors go by? :)Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-41810023021769451452011-05-11T16:13:13.147-04:002011-05-11T16:13:13.147-04:00Sounds as though you've been busy! Mind you I'm sure a swing could be found if you were willing to pay a high price!Rowanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13679130612798888266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-6651210737716143822011-05-10T11:47:10.825-04:002011-05-10T11:47:10.825-04:00Neat idea! We did try growing them under heavy mulch once and found a nest of snakes when we uncovered them.Granny Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129064020727041161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-84753877686752889802011-05-09T21:01:36.512-04:002011-05-09T21:01:36.512-04:00Suggestion for growing potatoes:

Water collects inside the tires and keeps them moist; the tires gathers heat and spuds grow fast. When it's time to harvest, just kick over the tires: no digging or risking sticking a pitchfork into a potato. I usually have 8-10 stacks of tires, each housing 5 plants: 40-50 plants in 10x20 area.steeleweedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02077739629921574784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-64464211049078205572011-05-07T11:36:04.411-04:002011-05-07T11:36:04.411-04:00The rain's been interfering with a few project...The rain's been interfering with a few projects I have going over here, as well. At least mowing the grass every 5 days is keeping me busy. If I let it go any longer than that there is a real danger of Buddy getting lost while he's on cat patrol. He wouldn't hurt a fly but he dearly loves chasing them out of the flower beds!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08812329358511747697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2634969979683449053.post-40712442499918087182011-05-07T10:36:50.031-04:002011-05-07T10:36:50.031-04:00Love baby chicks, even when I worked in the feedst...Love baby chicks, even when I worked in the feedstore and had to feed & water & cleanup hundreds at a time. The only thing that I didn't care for was when the snake people bought them, ugh.<br />Happy Mother's Day!Brighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11299215170393879517noreply@blogger.com
