Clouds looked promising
dark gray ominous
heavy with liquid
that never fell to my earth
someone else perhaps
felt the benefit
of water-laden fullness
While I watching
praying for a few inches
on this dusty patch of earth
was rewarded with only enough
to splatter the dust on my car
