Numbers

Probably no one but me finds this fascinating. Since it's my one-year blog anniversary, I was curious to see how many visitors stopped by in the past year.

Here's the breakdown:
7000 visits (exactly--how weird is that?)
12,209 page views
Most viewed page--the daily post (6,799)
Most viewed except for the daily post: Appalachian Christmas traditions online with 119 views, closely followed by a dead heat between five ways to celebrate New Years and clove orange pomanders, both with 111 views.

Furthest away visitor: hard to say. New Zealand wins, I think. Other places were that surprised me were Nome, Alaska, Japan, Argentina, China, Belorussia, Vietnam Sydney and Perth, Australia. A map that shows sources of visits is full of dots all over the world, but the eastern US is the source of most visits.

Okay, enough already!

  1. I think its fascinating. Its awesome how popular you have become. And its neat that people all over the world can meet you and your storytelling personality.

  3. Ain't it though. There are others from less-than-secure places, too. Like Riyallah, and a few others in the mid-East. People still cruise the net, wherever they are.
