The first picture is of last night's full moon (known, depending on your source, as Oak Moon Cold Moon Frost Moon, Long Night's Moon, or Moon Before Yule according to Wikipedia). the rest of the photos are from last December.

  2. I know your kids have to love coming over during the holidays. Did you see the rainbow on your way home from work today! Al said it was beautiful in Charleston.
Is that Santa or Larry coming down the chimney?

  3. It is cozy here, joycee. I wish all of my blog friends could come and gather round the fire with us.

  5. Cathy, they do love it. And so do I. I especially like seeing the grandkids get into the way things were when their dads were young.

  8. I'm shivering just looking at your pictures, I think we're going to have a cold winter.

  9. Aw, Janet, it was a lot colder by now last year--we'd already had a couple snows, remember? This year is taking its time--maybe the cold stuff will hold off until January.

Nessa, the man likes to keep the place warm! So warm that we're often opening doors in winter :-) My hot flashes don't help much either.

  11. It was so lovely, I had to pull off the road to catch a picture, Jai. I'm glad I did because it's been rainy and cold ever since.

  12. The moon was beautiful last night. She sat between my juniper vase and blue wine bottle draped in icicle lights in my kitchen window last night. She was the most beautiful addition to my already ornate window.
