"Don't mirror his emotions. Ask how you can help."

I'll bean him with my mirror. He won't get in my face over a dime fine on overdue book again!"

  1. Oh, you know that's my favourite. OMG is it my favourite! How many times have I stood at a returns desk with someone who tried to argue, beg, or bully their way out of a fine, and the whole time I just wanted the freedom to say, "Lady. It's a f***ing DIME."

    ROFL!!!
    Oh, and I'm a taxpayer so I pay your salary btw.
    OOOOhhhhhh....!!
    LOL

  2. Gotta say, this is one of my favorites too! I've a hard time at my job with, umm, difficult people. While I'm screaming on the outside, I swear, I'm calm and chuckling on the inside ;-) Fun to visit Granny Sue!

  3. LOL, Susan! You know how this can be. Skald,I guess any of us who work with people in any capacity have to do the calm outside/laughing or raging inside thing from time to time.

    Come to think of it, my dogs induce the same feelings sometimes...but at least it's not over a ten-cent fine!

  4. Ahhh... a mirror as a weapon. This is very interesting! This is such a fun idea.

  5. Granny Sue;

    I worked in customer service and I feel this womens pain! I never had a mirror to use on anybody, probably a good thing!
    Really Good job!

  6. I love it!!! BTW, when I have a library fine to pay (because I need just a bit more time to finish a book), I just consider it a donation to help buy more books. Someone told me their library is donating this week's fines to Haiti.
