Missing in Action?

I'm really still here, but continue to be incredibly busy. With dry weather finally arriving, we have been spending hours getting caught up on gardens and mowing. The gardens are looking good at last. This week I spent a lot of time working in my flowerbeds; they were in sore need, believe me. And with two of my sisters coming to visit there was no way I was going to let them see that mess!

So mornings have been starting at 6am as we raced to beat the heat. We would work til one or two in the afternoon, and my clothes have been absolutely wringing wet with sweat and I've been dirtier than I've been in a good while--but it's been worth the effort. Add to that the mulberries continuing to ripen, peas ready to pick, a few cherries on our little tree, and new potatoes from the garden--we've been hopping.

Now my sisters are here and we had a glorious time at the auction today, coming home with boxes and boxes to sort through. Most were mine, I admit, but my sisters got some good finds too and we had a great time. Larry was awesome hauling boxes to our vehicles. I helped him out by buying an old wheelbarrow for $4 early on--he used it to haul boxes and made other people there envious! One lady even asked if he was for hire.

I will be back to regular blogging soon and will take some pictures of the results of our hard work. Right now I am going to retire--to my bed. Good night, all!

  3. Hey GSUE - those of us who know you (or read your blog) know that you are NOT the type to do nothing. If you are not blogging, I'm sure you're doing something - take some time and do what you want. It's your life, after all. The rest of us will be here when you get back. :)
