Soft and Beauty in the Garden

It is such a lovely morning. The air has that "this IS spring" feel, soft as velvet on my skin.

I took a quick garden walk. I haven not worked much out here yet so everything is still a little messy. This week, I hope, we will get the mulching done, and get some plants in the ground. But for right now, I feel blessed to have the bloom and beauty we have at this moment.

The little cherry is a cloud of white blossoms,

and behind it the maple is spring green.

Along the walk, the roses and spirea are leafing out, punctuated by a few tulips. The lavender, in the rose bed, made it through the winter, thank goodness.

  1. This looks like something out of a storybook. So appealing!
