ReplyDeleteSince our first snow, which was a real one, we've been having the snow-snow-rain-snow pattern here, and today I was pulling the Hay Delivery Sled over wet leaves now and then, in between snow and ice. I could enjoy a continuation of this!
I love how your home is nestled back there, with a winding laneway. (You probably don't enjoy it when you have to clear it of snow!) -Jenn
ReplyDeleteCertainly no snow here yet though snow in November can happen some years. I've never really enjoyed the snow since the days I worked on the farm where frozen water pipes and ice on the ground made for lots of extra work.
ReplyDeleteI remember those days too, John, although it had (and still has) to be very cold for our pipes to freeze, below 0 (F) actually. When we had cattle and pigs and all of that it was a challenge sometimes, and the weather during the years we were actively farming was below-normal cold. But we were young, and in those days we could do anything.
