Post-Conference

Apparently my contribution to the world today is going to be remaining upright. I am worn out, but in a good way.

Is there anything that can compare to a weekend spent in the company of creative people? So many good conversations! My normal life is generally quiet--just me and Larry, rattling around this place as we garden, mow, paint, cook, etc. To be around other creative types is like food for the mind and soul, and a reminder to pay more attention to that part of my life. The days were long, extending into the night and the wee hours of the following day. Below I am telling Rindercella, sometime after midnight during one of our gatherings. What fun! And a challenge to keep my tongue untwisted telling the "spoonerism" version of Cinderella.

Now I am preparing for tomorrow's storytelling presentation at the lovely Philippi Library

Telling tales a few years ago at a summer library program

--which means we get to drive most of the way across this state, and cross the double covered bridge,

see our good friend and Philippi librarian Judy Larry, eat at one of the unique little places in the town, and then back home across beautiful West Virginia.

Such a life!
