Back to Miami

78 this morning, reaching 91 here and 96 in town. Miserable weather right now, but relief in sight by the weekend.

We're not really in Miami, of course, but it sure feels like it. Just unbearably hot and humid today. We worked at our Marietta booth but only spent an hour there as it was just too hot. The mall is not air-conditioned and usually that's not an issue because it's an old, thick brick building that stays cool pretty well. But not today. I even forgot to take photos, because the sweat was dripping in my eyes.

Tomorrow is Ravenswood booth work. We dropped off totes today, and will have to load up that l-o-n-g dresser in the morning. Wish us luck. I'm sure we'll be pouring sweat before it's in the van as the heat will be with us tomorrow as well.

I realized this morning that today is the 9th anniversary of starting our booth in Marietta. It's been fun, and the years have flown by. Sometimes I look back at the photos over the years and it's just amazing how many things we've sold. I don't think we'll be out of this business any time soon, unless something unforeseen occurs.

Off to bed now, thanking the heavens for air conditioning.

  1. It's been unusually hot here, too, Sue. AC has been a blessing for sure. I thought once dog days were over, the weather would be more tolerable. Still waiting.
