20°f/-6.7°C, mostly clear after a snowy day yesterday. It snowed all day but melted as it fell, so only an inch or two accumulation. Yesterday was our first above-freezing day in several weeks.
A few vignettes of the big old bookshelf. This was the first "built-in" when we but this house, in place before the walls were even finished. It's about 8 feet by 8 feet, and 10 inches deep.

What wonderful shelves, and oh the books! Loved seeing your son's photo with the award. Great memory to keep. And shall I say how I always love seeing your glass goodies around? Yes indeed!
ReplyDeleteI just saw your baby announcement - Congratulations! How nice to get happy news on a sad day for you. You have so many wonderful memories to comfort you.
ReplyDeleteThe lamp by the window draped perfectly with that light curtain is quite beautiful..
ReplyDelete...I like the view out your window.
ReplyDeleteA good collection and I like the view from the window.
ReplyDeleteA fine assortment of books with just a few ornaments here and there. It looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe sold lots of books a few years ago, now our book shelf is just cookbooks..well, mostly. That bird looks very pretty.

Other people's bookshelves are always a delight
ReplyDeleteThe irresistible draw of someone else's bookshelves - and that sweet vase with the cattails and water lily! I've been thinning out my bookshelf very gradually, but not very successfully. The first step always seems to be putting a few books in a box and then tripping over the box for a few years. And of course bringing in a new book every now and then.
