Morning Walks

We're back to taking walks in the morning, now that the pain in my legs and hips has subsided at night and I am getting some decent sleep. Getting older has its challenges!

Here's a few photos from the past two days. Such a beautiful place we call home.

  1. You do live in a beautiful area, the red birds are so sweet, what are they?

  2. Janet, I believe these are purple finches, although they could also be house finches. I like them too; they are occasional visitors here and I wish they'd just stay.

  3. They look like true purple finches, lucky you. We get a lot of house finches, not as spectacular as the purple. Glad you're able to walk in such a lovely place.

  4. What nice walking roads - look nice for horses, too, are they?
I hope to get back to frequent walks with Piper soon. Seems like this winter there hasn't often been much energy beyond what needs to be done to keep body and soul (all of them) together, and to be honest, I'm pretty happy to have managed that much. But Piper will be happy to have more time out when the weather is a bit drier and warmer.
