A Night Out

34°f, about 1°C, cloudy after showers during the night.

We made an unplanned trip to Charleston this evening to see a local group, The Charleston Rogues, at Fife Street Brewery. The Rogues play what they call Celtic punk rock and folk/trad music. What a fun, high energy band! I had seen them about 6 years ago and was glad of an opportunity to hear them again. Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, or should I say glass of Guinness, but I love the energy of this group.

Sorry about the video quality.  For some reason YouTube zoomed my video and cut out most of the band. It's been several years since I have used YouTube, and apparently something has changed about uploading.

  1. Sadly, I can't get it going. Will try later on the iPad. I am coveting your bunches of daffs a lot. And laughing about the soup substitutions. Happens daily around here, the shopping being a once a week thing.
The YD arrived last night, however, with a load of Chinese treats and we ate far too much with great glee.

  5. I do love an energetic Irish band...but after a while I admit it gives me a headache.

  6. I love Celtic and traditional music. I don't know these guys but if that's what I do, I have a feeling I'd be liking it! Sounds like a great time out!

  8. That's the kind of live music I enjoy. Going to a Hootenanny type of event on Saturday, should be fun.
