Saturday

58°f/14.r°C, cloudy, breezy. Too warm!

Off today to pick up our auction stuff, but we had a nice evening out, listening to local musician Corey Hager at a little downtown restaurant before walking across the street to see the play "The Mousetrap" being put on by the local actors guild. We ended with a nightcap with our son Derek and his friends at another restaurant, before finally getting home and to bed by midnight.

So, breakfast out this morning as we head over to Ohio! Sharing some photos from the past few days.

On the way to town last night.

Me at the last open mic in Ripley. I hadn't planned to do anything but they asked me to si ce there were only a couple others signed up.

On the driveway last week.

And along the road

Pretty skies as we finished work at our Ripley booth on Wednesday.

The little lake on Joe's Run earlier this week

The last of the summer squash, picked before our big freeze Sunday night.

On the kitchen shelves. I use it all, except those colorful pitchers on the top shelf.

Garden salad. We still have lettuce, radishes, kale, bok choi, broccoli, and turnips. I used lettuce, baby kale, the last squash and a tomato from a friend's last picking from her high tunnel.

Wild hair after my haircut this week!

My latest Early American Pattern Glass find, a Star Line piece by Cambridge Glass, circa 1908.

Along the way in Ohio, heading to the auction pickup.

And all for today!

  1. On your way to Ohio. That's where I am. Are you vacationing? You got some great pictures of the road, the color etc. Like all your curls. Mine used to be more curly. But, it's gotten soooooo thin and falls out, not much left to curl. Beautiful glass. I'm amazed you're still getting fresh veggies. Not much left here is growing.

  8. Your booths look intriguing. I haven’t had any opportunities to visit antique sellers recently, but it really looks enjoyable.

  9. ”The Mousetrap” has been playing in the west end of London since 1952, with only a break for COVID. What an amazing record! Midnight is way past my bedtime these days. Actually, I have never been a night owl, preferring to be up with the dawn.

  10. What a great evening out! And fun to see you with the open mic. I'd love to see it in person. You still have lovely color. Ours is pretty much gone.
