47°f/8.3°C, raining. The very warm weather of the past couple days ends tonight. It was 65° yesterday!
Back at the tire shop, waiting on our new tires. A few things caught my eye:
Then this board, completely covered in business cards. I wonder if anyone even sees it, in these days of cell phones?
Black ones are mine, the others belong to the random strangers beside me. Those messy ones...wonder what his tires look like? (See sign above)
One more sign:
It's a rainy ol' day, so light as well get this job taken care of. We'll be $800 the poorer for it, but we'll have a better, safer ride.

That warning was pretty cold...it has been snowing, but not very cold. Tomorrow will be minus 7 though. Enjoy the warmer temperature, Sue.
ReplyDelete...I have an excellent independent mechanic, I ALWAYS go to him.
ReplyDeleteA nice laugh this Saturday. We had a tornado warning this morning here in Newnan, Georgia. Strange weather.
ReplyDeleteThe first sign is kind of funny, but I can imagine a real need for it--especially during the winter.
ReplyDeleteOh dear...that first sign is too funny. But I live in the country so I get it.
ReplyDeleteI think (hope) they have a sense of humor with that last sign. I think of mud and muck on tires but manure never came to mind!
ReplyDeleteThe tire sign is a sensible policy in an area like mine, and I imagine, yours! It also reminded me of a sign I once saw in a laundramat: "No laundering of horse blankets!" which made sense when I realized there was a racetrack almost across the street.
ReplyDeleteI always look at the business cards that are posted in businesses. I always find something interesting that I would not be looking for online. The last sign is sure to get everyone's attention. You are invited to come look at my latest post.
ReplyDeleteOf note is the fact that winter footwear is different there.
