North Carolina

64°f this morning, very humid.

Our morning began like this:

Followed by this:

I assumed that, given the red sky, we would have rain all day but surprisingly we had no rain, just very high humidity. Sarah was happy, as she was able to work around her cabin, and Larry was glad to get more weedeating done.

But North Carolina! How very terrible the flooding there is. It just defies imagination. We have had historic floods here in West Virginia over the years, so it's a familiar if horrible disaster, and yet I am not sure we have ever had one to rival what has happened in North Carolina. I did check with family there to make sure all was well with them, and aside from downed trees they were fine. I hope the same is true for any of you with family there.  Also hoping to see a post from Lisa at Appalachian Ground blog, and Tipper at Blind Pig and the Acorn, as both are, I think, in the affected area.
