20°f this morning, about -6°C. Bit of red in the sunrise; warming and rain expectedvlater but clear and sunny early on.
Not much exciting going on here.. The past 2 days we spent mostly working on our booths and shopping for oddities like a part for the truck's gas filler tube, little brackets to attach a mirror to a frame, Tylenol PM, hams (99 cents a pound for spiral cut honey ham? Yes thank you. 3 in the freezer now!), and such like. Today, maybe a little Christmas shopping, dinner out, and a play by the local theater group.
Oh, and before I forget, the settlement on the van came in at $2500 MORE than what we paid for it in 2020! So we actually drove it for free for 4 1/2 years. How bizarre is that. We don't have the money yet, still more paperwork to do, but I am on the hunt for a replacement van.
Anyway, on to photos from our snow this week. No real order to them. The snow has mostly gone by now, but it sure was pretty.
Wow! What a great deal on hams...and you made me laugh! I do exactly the same thing. I haven't seen ham at 99 cent a pound though, you lucky soul. When the guy ran the redlight and hit Tim, we got $1000 less for the car than we paid for it like 8 years ago. We were pretty shocked at the number. The car is 14 years old.
ReplyDeleteThat is startling about the van. Maybe it means that you a great deal back in 2020. I like your snow pics, and you don't have to make much of an effort to get them.
ReplyDelete...your winter wonderland is spectacular and the settlement on the van ain't shabby.
ReplyDeleteI also drove my car for free for 3 years when the insurance came through...never thought of it that way. But for the next 2 years (because I'd been at fault in the accident) my insurance rates went up. So it all evens out in the end! Loved the snow photos! Now I'm thinking a ham is in my future...
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of the Cardinal posing on the rail. AND the one of the dog on the porch. I can't tell whether he's thinking "Why don't I get to go?" or "I ain't goin' out in that stuff!"
ReplyDeleteWhat good news about the van. Your snow looks lovely. How can something so lovely cause so many problems? Tonight is to be a very cold single digit night then by Tuesday warming to the 40s or 50s then snow again. I'm ready for it to be just winter.
ReplyDeleteThat's great news on the van and now hopefully you'll find a worthy replacement. Love seeing the dog looking down from the porch, they have to know what's going on. :)
ReplyDeleteSnow is beautiful and your pictures show that. We haven't had much more than flurries so far, but February is usually our biggest snow month. Used car prices went up during COVID, and it sounds like they're still up there. Hope that's not a problem as you're trying to find a replacement.
