33°f, about 1°C, raining. Heavy rain is expected all day, with some localized flooding possible.
Dinner by the fire, cake, hearts. Valentine's Day done, and it was nice.
And this cake, chocolate with raspberry filling and cream cheese icing.
I seem to have collected quite a few heart dishes. I pack the Valentine's day things away in the stacked suitcases. Some years I use them, others I don't.

Stay well, friends.
Glad you enjoyed your Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteThe link for John's blog is the same as yesterday so it doesn't take us to The Lost Village. Here is the link for that post:

To me that sounds like a perfect evening, ohhhh, a real fire?
ReplyDeleteIngo gave me a little, electric fake oven, I´ll turn it on later :-)
Beautiful pictures on John´s blog. Such a contrast to the grey here...
,,,I hope that you will stay high, dry and well.
ReplyDeleteCozy is great.
ReplyDeleteYummy sounding cake!!
ReplyDeleteWe had steak for our Valentine's dinner too. A side salad, fries & toasted sour dough bread with butter. It was so good. And we watched a really good movie as well. Just as we were at the climax, a very loud banging on the door made me scream!
ReplyDeleteWe looked, no one was there.
We went back to the movie & again! A loud bang & my scream.
We knew it was our 7 yr old grandson who lives next door. :) Coming to prank us. I went outside & couldn't see him so went back in.
Back to the movie & a third loud bang...still I screamed! It was so loud. It startled me enough that this time I stopped the movie & headed to the bathroom. :) While my husband sneaked out onto the screened porch & hid to wait.
Back comes the little prankster, crawling under the windows. They see each other & laugh.
It was a sweet end to the day. He came in asking me for food, as always & watched a little tv with Papa. Then we all played a few rounds of darts before he headed back home.
He's our little Valentine.
What a yummy sounding cake. Your celebration sounds just lovely. I tried to comment using my iPad, and had difficulty, so I shifted back to the laptop. Whew. Much better!
ReplyDeleteOh, my mistake...perhaps the first one is just being monitored!
ReplyDeleteYour evening sounds about perfect. What movie did you watch?
ReplyDeleteI am impressed by your cake. I have another clebration tomorrow and may steal the idea. You do have a good eye.
