I thought today would be a day at home, but it was not to be. Larry needed finish nails for a cabinet he's repairing, and gas for the mower. I have been considering changing our cell service and possibly a different internet too, so I decided to go with Larry to town.
Oh. My. Great. Grandmother. Have you changed cell or internet service lately? How did I not know what a marathon it would be? 3 HOURS of sitting around while the staff at T-Mobile fiddled about on tablets. A gamut of fees, taxes, offerings of various phones and services later, and we walked out in a daze, but with 2 new phones, 2 airtags for our dogs, and a new internet service.
Or at least we hoped the internet would work. We have always been told that our location below the brow of the hill and with lots of trees isn't ideal. But if the T-Mobile thingies worked, we'd save about $80 a month. If not we'd only save about $25 and we'dhave to keep the satellite. It was a gamble
But it works! It's about as fast as our satellite, maybe better. And no limits on data so we can join the rest of the world finally and stream stuff, if we want. Which means a new TV I guess, since ours is not a smart TV. There wasn't any need for one before. I'm not in a rush about that though. One thing at a time.
When we finally got home, I had all that setup stuff to do. Larry is clueless with tech stuff and escaped to go mow grass. I have most of it done, just the dog tags to fix up.
I knew there was a reason I have put off doing this, keeping my phone with the cracked screen and trying to not think about changing it up. Now the deed is done. Whew.
