In the Kitchen

71°f/about 22°C, hazy and heading into another hot day.

Yesterday was a cooking day, despite the heat.
Seems like I spent all day at the stove, but it was worth the sweat.

Breakfast: scrambled eggs with ham on English muffins, and sliced tomatoes  

Lunch: tomato sandwiches on Amish homemade sourdough bread

Dinner: stir-fry with rice, and sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Dessert: raspberry pie with vanilla ice cream

Yes, we ate well! And yes, that would be tomatoes at all three meals. Because we love them, and because we have a steady supply coming in right now.

I also made banana blueberry bread (never got around to making it the other day), and black cherry jam. The kitchen got pretty warm. No photos today because I was too busy cooking and washing dishes!

  2. All sounds yummy, except your standing there cooking it all up. I do hope you had something nice and tall and cool to drink when you put your feet up!

  4. Tomatoes every meal sounds right to me. There’s only a short time throughout the year when you can have them fresh off the vine.
