It's time for another look at the log cabin we're in the processing of disassembling to move to our place and add to our house. We haven't worked on it much lately because the gardens are keeping up hopping and I've had several storytelling commitments, a trip to Virginia and the writers conference to keep me away from home.
Still, it's coming along. Here's a look at its current status:
Excellent Progress!

Looks like a really cool garden structure! I really have to get glasses, when I saw the picture with the red truck, I thought the truck was a toy inside the cabin!
ReplyDeletelooks sort of drafty...
ReplyDeleteTheresa, I thought the same thing! Larry took these photos, so I liked seeing the world through his eyes.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right, Warren, a lil drafty right now but that's a blessing with these temps. It was good to see that the condition of the logs on the inside was pretty good. We're getting a LOT of oak lumber out of this place because the walls were lined with it on the inside. That's what's slowing progress right now--Larry is taking down the boards and pulling the nails as he goes so the boards are ready for re-use. There is nothing handier than a pile of rough lumber around the place!
It won't be long until we'll be seeing a new room being added to your place.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet the critters who had made it their home are not happy with you. tee hee
