Off to Morgantown to tell stories at the Gluck Theatre at WVU's MountainLair. November is Tellabration month, established by JJ Pinkerton about 15 years ago. Originally intended as one day of storytelling internationally, Tellabration events have spread out to become a month-long event, with storytelling concerts all over the world. A proclamation is read that reminds all listeners of the interconnectivity of storytelling, and then the stories begin.
There are Tellabration events in many areas so check your local listings to see if there is one near you. Then go out and enjoy some fine entertainment. I guarantee you'll have a great time!
Have fun. I'm going to see if there are any around here.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a copy of the proclamation? The group I'm part of LISN [pronounced "listen"] (Long Island Storytelling Network is producing 3 events in November and it would nice to have the proclamation to share.
ReplyDeleteI am not familiar with this, but will check in my area! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHarvey, here is a link to the Tellabration page and the proclamation. Print it up on nice paper, make it fancy or however you like:
