Wordless Wednesday: Inside Looking Out

Before the storm--see the white line above the lamp? That is the first of the snow blowing in.

Next morning.

Study in black and white.

Inside warmth, outside snow.
Cat on a warm couch.

Kitchen windowsill.

The beginning, and the end.

  1. That was fun! Thanks for sharing! You sure had an excellent viewpoint for getting that first snow coming in! :-) I'm envious of that wood burning stove. LOL

  2. What a beautiful view of the snow from your window. Your new heater looks so inviting to warm up to. Stay warm!

  3. hi Shannon--thanks for stopping by. I tried to leave a comment on your blog but got a message that the website weas "too busy." I hope that's a good thing?

Actually, the fire is a gas fireplace; we do have a woodburner and a wood-burning fireplace, but recently installed our free gas, so while we use the fireplace a lot still, we're heating with gas these days.

  4. Mama-bug, the little fireplace is such a treat. The big woodburner was enclosed so we could not see the flames. Of course, we had the fireplace, but not in this part of the house. Now I can have open fires in both places!

  5. When I lived in southern New Mexico where it was flat, we could watch the dust storms coming from miles away. When we saw one, we knew it was time to scramble inside.

  6. Now that's something to think about, Virginia. Sometimes we see a storm coming across the hills, but usually by the time we see it, we're going to be caught in it!
