That's just beautiful Granny Sue! I haven't been to that one before. I'm sure my kids would have loved to play in that creek! They'd also like to go for a walk in those woods if there was a geocache in the area.
It is, Janie. And just off the highway too, which makes it seem almost like a secret place. You can get lost in there while cars go buzzing by, unaware.
What a beautiful place. I really want to get away to the mtns this summer. Keep your fingers crossed. One of the grandson's and I are learning to Geocache. Such fun.
I've known a couple of places like this in my time. Lush. Full of Peace and Good Will. (However, speaking of geocache . . . you might need to send me the GPS position of this park so I can find it next trip out to WV.
Boy, I am really behind the curve on geocaching. I have no idea about the gps for it, Nance--just get on WV Rte 55 out of Richwood and head towards Marlinton, and there it is on the right side of the road :)
Brighid, I hope you make it to the hills. Sometimes I crave listening to water over rocks. Other times it's waves in the ocean. I need an ocean trip sometime soon. It's been too long.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics of the lush greens of nature. Thank you for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteCalm, lushness, the trickle of a stream, a bird calling here and there...you can see why I love this spot so much.
