Liebster Award

Thank you, Joy!

Joy at A Vintage Green selected my blog for the Liebster Award. The "Liebster Blog" award it given to up-and-coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. I've been blogging for a good while and teeter on the edge of 200 followers, but I love to meet new people and to check out new blogs. I am also always intrigued by Joy's blog as she shows her finds for her flea market booth and the processes she sometimes uses to give items new life.

("Liebster" is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, beloved, loveliest, cutest etc.)

The rules for the Liebster Award are:

1. Thank the giver and link back to her/him.
2. Reveal your top picks and leave a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love too!

Part of the fun is picking the blogs to pass the love along to!
In no particular order, here are my picks:

Karen Chace's blog, Catch the Storybug!, explores storytelling and its applications with in-depth posts and many links to further information.  Storytellers, teachers, and just plain curious folks will all find her blogs fascinating and information.
My cousin John in England began his blog By Stargoose and Hanglands this year and posts on a wide variety of topics, from ballads and balladsingers to beautiful photos of the countryside where he lives as he rambles about on walks, family memories and much more. I do not remember ever meeting this cousin so getting to know him though his blog has been a true pleasure, and I think you will enjoy his blog as well.
Homestead Heart used to be one of my daily blog visits. Then she lost her husband suddenly about 2 years ago and her life underwent many huge changes. She is now back to blogging and I hope she continues. I missed her thoughtful, simple posts.
Wildenblue Farm offers recipes and peeks into simple farm living in New England. Stunning photography makes this blog a real treat.

My friend Warren is building a cabin on the land he purchased from us earlier this year. You can follow his adventures on his blog, My Home Among the Hills.

Another British blog, Circle of the Year, is written by my friend Rowan. She shares her travels in England and elsewhere with excellent photographs and commentary.
Blue Gate Farm is full of farmlife adventures, critters and photos. Life is always interesting at this farm.

Have fun checking out these great blogs!
