This is day 7 of the power outage and things ehave not improved--in fact it has gotten worse as temperatures continue to rise to nearly 100 degrees. We are managing although sleeping is difficult with the house heating up during the day and not really cooling off much before early morning. For Larry and me it is not too bad but for our visiting grandchildren, it's not much fun. Yesterday my granddaughter Grace and I worked on my booth at the antique mall. I doubled my rented space so I had much to do to get it rearranged to my liking. I will post photos when I can.Larry and Clayton ran errands while Grace and I were busy, then we all went to Derek's for showers. Today I had a storytelling performance in the morning; now it"s nearly 100 and time to find a pllace to cool off.

  1. OK Sue, I'll stop moaning about the cold, drizzly, damp weather that we lovingly refer to as summer. Hope things improve soon.

  3. I was wondering if your electric was still off. I hate to hear that it isn't back on. Ours went off but came back on that evening of the storm. That truly was a first! I think it is because they came out here with a helicopter and cut all of the trees in the lines last year. I hate it that the man who bugged AEP over it that lives down the road from me is without power and having to use his generator!

Our free gas was off for a few days though. Apparently a few trees uprooted the lines. I'm cooking with gas now! I don't have a microwave and the electric 2 burner stove takes a half hour to even boil water! lol We ran out of propane for the grill!
