Input Needed: Mirror Project

I'm coming to the collective brain again for your thoughts. I painted these mirrors the other day and in my mind I thought they would look great with a three-color approach.

They were stuck in the 70's with its black and gold finish.

I saw them with white in the centers, turquoise around the inner edge and green on the outside.

It was one of those good ideas that ends up being a lot of work. You know the kind.

So here is the finished product.

I don't think I like it now. I think they need to be all white with that turquoise center. My husband likes them as they are.

So repaint, or leave it alone? If I repaint, I'll have to redo the distressing, and if I do that some of the green will be revealed in the process. I'm not sure I'm going to like that either.

What do you think?

  1. I like them as-is although I don't really like them because of the shape. Still, the idea and colors look good to me

  3. Hmmm, Warren likes the colors but not the shape, and Janet likes the green but not the turquoise. This will be interesting to see what other suggestions might come in. Thank you both for taking time to respond!

  4. Try them. If they don't sell then do something else.

  5. I like them. If you plan to sell them then I'd just see if they sell. If they don't then go back & pant them white.

  6. I think the 3 colors are too much. White and green or white and turquoise, just not all 3. I like white and turquoise the best.

  7. I think I would like them to be all black. lol I'm not a very colorful type of decorator at my house, but someone doing a babies room might like them to be colorful. I actually do like the shape of them though.
