Praying for Charleston

My heart hurts for the good people of Charleston, SC who lost nine of their best.

Please, let us all stop the hate. Let us all stop the fear of differences. Let us all just live our lives, and let others live theirs.

It's time. It's past time. It needs to stop now.

Sending my prayers and love to the families of the victims. Theirs will be the hardest road of all in the days ahead.

  1. I couldn't agree more. My thoughts are with the families and friends of those who died.

  2. So heartbreaking.

Another perspective on this that I never hear anyone voice is the fact the young man was on drugs, a prescription medication that affects our mind. Of course, we never know what to believe in what we read & hear any more but I do think this is one reason this happens so often now. We drug so many of our kids they lose their minds, their ability to reason.

It's a very personal subject to me because my mother-in-law was put on a nerve medication years ago that should have been temporary. As she aged she didn't take it regularly & it's something you cannot stop taking without being under a doctor's care. The result - she became very paranoid & violent. She was in withdrawal but none of us understood what was going on - even the doctors because they do not communicate well with each other. We believe she would have killed someone if she'd had a gun - she was terrified for her life. So I think of all the children we've drugged who reach adult hood & decide to stop taking them on their own - with no one helping them learn how to cope. It's all craziness.

What a gut wrenching lost to this community.

  3. I don't understand what's happening in our country. This use to be a good place to live, now everyone is angry about something. It's too sad for words.

  5. The people of SC are showing good, loving, forgiving examples. Bless their hearts. It breaks our hearts that nine family, community, church oriented folks took in a stranger . . . and exchanged their hospitality for heavenly crowns. God be with their families.
