Remember the sad, broken table a friend gave to us this past weekend? Here's how it looked, waiting for us in her driveway:
Larry repaired it yesterday, removing the broken legs so that the table rests on the little knob feet, and patching up the holes where the legs were attached. He also fixed loose boards on the top and bottom, then gave it to me. Some sanding, some paint, and...
A simple project, but so rewarding! My friend found it in someone's trash at the curb and couldn't stand letting it go to the dump. She thought we might be able to do something with it.
One man's trash, another man's treasure. Literally true.

Wow, what a difference, the rollers are much better gone.
ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous table!!! I am always happy to hear of furniture being rescued. It's so much better than ending up in the landfill.
ReplyDeleteImpressive work, by both of you.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful transformation! I think taking off those original legs was a genius move - that, and painting it a light color. Just lovely!
