Covid Journal, Day 49: Trying Something New

52 this morning and the promise of a pretty day. I hope to get out in the flower gardens today.

I decided to try something new--a video blog instead of a written one. Let me know if you like it;  may do this regularly once I get the hang of it. A new learning curve!

So, what do you think? Worth doing, or forget it?

  1. I wish I had heard about the face washing earlier, I've missed the fairies and youth for another year. I liked the poem, you should be proud for mastering the technology, lighting good, sound good.

  3. When I realized you were doing a video I was disappointed. I don't do well watching videos...especially home movies because they're usually too shakey.

But oh my, I really enjoyed it. Love hearing your voice & seeing your face. And you did very well with your camera too.

  4. I'm impressed! Good job with the camera and all. My 12-yr old granddaughter has to manage our video visits! Loved your poem!

    1. Thank you, Nance! It took me a little while to figure it out.

  5. I really enjoyed that! Well done figuring that all out! Did you have some fancy gadget to hold your phone while you were making the video? -Jenn

    1. Hahaha, no, I had a little table, with a stool on top of it, and a big book on top of that to lean the phone against! I may have to get something else though--I do have a camera tripod around here somewhere that I might be able to adapt.

  6. Love it!!! Thank you so much. I watched the video from the beginning with a smile on my face the whole time. Your stories (even the informal ones) take us all away for a wee bit from the reality of the news and they are a perfect healing balm for a Spring day. Thank you, Granny Sue. Your blogging and blogging is great!

  7. I enjoyed hearing your voice! My internet service is so slow, I often have trouble with videos, even little tiny ones on twitter, they just come up blank or freeze after a few seconds. It's very hit or miss! So I was lucky to see most of your video before it froze :)

  8. I just saw your comments about modifying a tripod...you might try one of my old tricks from my field photography days: a bag of beans! Or peas. You get the idea. It lets you adjust the shape to hold your camera (or phone, I guess, these days) tilted the way you want it. Just a thought!

  9. Loved it! I've been reading all your updates and loved each one, but it was especially nice to see your face and hear your voice. Tell Larry we said HELLO!
