71 and humid; will be a hot one today, in the low 90's. I'm hoping for a thunderstorm as we could use some rain.
We were out early again this morning to beat the heat. Today's work--use the iris clippings to mulch the second planting of beets, weed the leeks, clip some more iris, and water all the new plantings and the planters. Larry worked in his big veggie garden, spreading wood ash to deter bugs, tying tomato plants, weeding; he got some mowing done too.
Now, some eBay listings while he fixes breakfast and then off to the antique mall to work on our booths.
Sounds like you have a full day. Hope the humidity doesn't get too bad. It's raining here right now, too bad I can't share it. :(
ReplyDeleteSuch energy and organization!
ReplyDeleteIt's been hot here in KY, too. The heat used to not bother me, but anymore I hate being outside in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteWe are having a very grim summer in my neck of the woods. Overwhelming heat and humidity on the rare days when it isn't actually raining, and it's raining most days. Wearing on everyone.
