28 this morning and overcast. The rain has stopped. Some creeks and rivers came out of their banks, but no major flooding that I've heard about in our area.
Two turkeys to can today, and four pounds of cranberries to put up as well. I finally caught them on sale yesterday evening on my way home from working at the mall.
First, a pic of our New Year's dinner. It was delicious. Cabbage, stuffed peppers, trout, blackeye peas, and beets. No dessert because we're getting tired of sweets.
Then, I did promise some booth photos, so here's a look at some changes. We moved this table from one booth to another where it has a more prominent placement. I did it up with blues and jade green to give a fresh look. The large Sellers cabinet behind it in the photo is on layaway so we are working on a cabinet to replace it.
I finished this little dresser last week and we got it moved in on Friday. The oak dresser beside it is on layaway too, along with a few other pieces so we're looking for more furniture to fill the spaces when these leave.
We still have this corner shelf--I am wondering if its placement makes it not so visible? It's in a corner near the door. I think I may re-do the items on it, less little things and just a few larger items.
Still have this table too. It gets a lot of admiring comments but so far no buyer.
Not the best photo--this is a pie safe we just moved in. It's a gorgeous old primitive piece, with screen holes on the sides for air flow. We took out the Christmas items in the window and replaced them with this cupboard and a Radio Flyer wagon and other things.
Shelves full of smalls. This area gets good traffic and lots of lookers and buyers.
A corner behind the window. It looks better in person than in this photo, I swear.
Tomorrow I'll be out looking for more stock. Today, I'd better get in the kitchen and get my work done. See you next time.

Hi Sue - always enjoy seeing your photos of your booths. We have snow and ice and more snow in our area since late December and more to come.

Your booth is full of interesting things. And that corner cabinet looks so much a part of the building that I wonder if your customers can tell it's for sale--it's a good looking cabinet and if I had the space it would be here! Good luck on your "stock hunt". Sounds like a fun way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteWow so many amazing things in your booths. Thank you for sharing your photos.
ReplyDeleteI had to look up what a layaway is, that is a new word for me. I love it when I learn something new through reading blogs. I am not sure if we have a word for it here in the UK might have to investigate that one.
