Today the temperature has hovered around 0° F all day. That would be -17.778 in Celsius. I don't know what the wind chill is, but guessing it is around -20F as the wind has howled all day.
Light snow off and on, occasional bursts of heavy snow with an accumulation of about 2" although it has blown around so much it is hard to tell. This weather is supposed to hang around for a few days.
It's the perfect day for staying inside! Fire is going, heaters are on high, and all three dogs have been in and out all day. As outside dogs, they can only stand being in the house so long before they have to get out a while. Then there's Larry, also an outside type, who has been in and out all day. But thankfully, mostly in.
We haven't done a lot. We had 2 days on the road, doing last minute shopping, meeting friends for lunch, picking up a couple tables for the booths, etc.
One of the tables, so cute with its chrome legs!
We did a little re-stocking, along with getting the grocery shopping done, and so on. So today is R&R. We are mostly in the log room by the fire, a most pleasant place to be. Cranberry mimosass sparkle in our glasses,
carols are playing and the dogs are happy. Clyde the cat has holed up in the workroom, where he is content and warm. I finished up wrapping gifts and put all those supplies away at last.
Tomorrow will be a cooking day, getting ready for Christmas and our son Derek and his family.
Kind of lower key, no big baking but it will be fun nonetheless.
Even with the cold, I love this time of year.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, have a wonderful time!
