Someone actually gave it to us. I told them I would sell it because we had nowhere to put it. They were fine with that, just needed it out of their way. I love it and wish I could keep it.
I love uranium glass, and you have a nice collection of it. I also love the jadeite. It is fun to enlarge the pictures and settle back to browse. In the seventh picture, the yellow Pyrex? Oh my gosh. My sister had that self same baking dish and it was her favorite. There wS a family celebration and the dish disappeared. She posted about it, asking everyone to check to see if they had it. After two years, she was still mentioning at family gatherings, just in case. She was saving the lid just in case. Just before Christmas, I got an idea. Pyrex is expensive, but there was a woman selling one cheap because she didn't have the lid. I bought it. When my sister unwrapped it, her eyes got wide: "It was YOU????"
What fun to consider all those little pieces of glass/china! Of course I had favorites too! Good thing I'm on a mandate to not purchase anything at this time of my life!
Your shelves look inviting. Writing from Norway, Maine. Dan is playing for a wedding this afternoon and I’m enjoying the nice weather out in the garden where we are staying. This morning we found an antique/ flea market where we found a wooden chest just what I’ve been looking for. I’ll take a photo to share once home again.

DeleteI love the glowing glass. It should sell quickly.
ReplyDeleteI have had it over a year, just waiting to have time to hook up the black lights and so on.
DeleteI know that glassware is popular with many people and you have a lot of. Is it your best seller?
ReplyDeleteIt sells pretty well. But we sell such a mixture of things, I would be hard put to say what sold best.
Delete...you don't let grass grow under your feet!
ReplyDeleteI try, Tom!
DeleteYou have so many pretty things! Hope your sales are great!
ReplyDeleteSales have been slow these last 2 weeks. It's an unpredictable business at best.

ReplyDeleteThat is such a funny story, Debby! I can just imagine your face!
DeleteLemon Ginger tea is one of my favourites. I try to have fresh ginger on hand and I add a few thin slices as I steep the tea.
ReplyDeleteSo much pretty glass!!!
I need to try that!
DeleteYou do keep yourself busy. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, AC. Taking it a little easier today.

ReplyDeleteYes, I seldom buy anything for my own home these days...but I can swap out with booth merchandise whenever I want a change!
