Christmas-ing

I got up way too late to check the temperature this morning! 10am, good grief! In my defense, we were up til midnight watching a movie after we got home, and then a very up-and-down night with dogs and Larry's hand was hurting and...well, you know.

We had a great time at the parade. It was cold but not as cold as last year. So much creativity on display! Here's a bit of it: do watch to the end to see the horses!

The band didn’t sound great from where I was but they really are pretty amazing. For a school of about 900, I think there are about 100 in the band program. Here's a great photo from the City's post on Facebook. Love the colors!

A few more photos, sone mine, some from the CVB on Facebook:

This was my favorite float. Amazing!

This car was in the parade, but I snapped this afterwards.

As we were walking back to the van, we passed a church group handing out hot chocolate. I got some, and was grateful for the hot drink. Larry wanted to stop in a little restaurant and bar along our walk for a beer, so we ducked in. I ordered some Bailey's and poured it into my hot chocolate. I hope using the church hot choc like this doesn't send me down to the fiery hole! It was soooo good.

Some storefronts and decorations  downtown:

  11. It's been so cold, we didn't go to our parade this year. This looks wonderful and I like the town decor.

  12. Both the parade and town looked good from what I can tell. There is something about the spirit of town parades.
