Yesterday: 30°f/-1°C, cloudy. Warmed to 40°, snow melting, foggy by evening.
Today: 29°, overcast. Snowbis looking messy from yesterday's thaw.
I have been trying to post since yesterday evening but either Blogger or my internet is having issues. Really, I have nothing exciting to talk about anyway.
We did a small restock at both booth locations after a bus tour visited one town Thursday and shopped at Farmhouse Market Finds (where we have a booth) along with many other small businesses in our town. That was a first for Ripley, and I hope it can happen again. This was a "mystery tour" from Beckley, WV; the participants had no idea where they were going. The town worked hard to make it a great experience, with many artisans set up to sell in various locations, meals at local restaurants, even an evening concert at our little historic performance theater (religious music, but oh well).
The cabinet we moved in to the Ripley booth earlier this week.
One surprise was that a chifferobe we had not planned to sell got an offer. I was using it to display vintage military uniforms (a steady seller) and other vintage clothing, so I had a "not for sale" tag on it. However, a young man just off deployment and stationed at the regional National Guatd Center needed it, so we emptied the chifferobe out and did a quick but messy rearrangement. We have a big rustic shelf we can move in this coming week.
At Ripley, a nice old quilt and several other things were gone, so another tidy-up was in order. I had also priced a bunch more drawer pulls and other hardware, so I restocked those bins. Then we headed home to put our feet up for the evening.
We have been slow-moving today. Some small tasks kept us a little busy----Larry cut some pine for me, which I tied with red ribbons and hung on the porch and other places. Talk about a simple decoration! I have been doing this since I can remember, actually. Then I finally sprayed my ceramic tree with polyurethane so I can get it put together, and pulled out the Christmas cards to address tomorrow, and gift bags, labels, etc. to start packing up gifts. So, little tasks but getting them checked off the list.
Right now we are on our way to pick up a cast iron Dutch oven for our son Derek's Christmas gift. He said he wanted one and we found one online, so we will pick it up and then go back to Ripley for the Christmas parade. That will be a nice end to a quiet day.

NIce and cold where you are. Sounds like you had a busy and prosperous week. Keep warm!
